Elder Pauline Mattis is the chair of Christian Education. The program for children and youth is taught by a rotating team of teachers who work together to develop a biblically-based program of instruction. For the 2011-2012 school year, the Sunday School begins in the Sanctuary at 11:30AM and moves to Murchison Hall. All ages are taught together so that the children can teach and learn from each other. The theme for this year is "Heroes from the Bible"

Adult Education
The New Hempstead Presbyterian Church has two adult study groups. Both meet weekly from September through June. The Adult Bible Study is led by Ed Garcia and meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM in the Colonial room. Anyone is welcome to join on any Sunday. The Monday night discussion is led by Pastor Lori Knight-Whitehouse. The group either is studying a book of the bible in depth, or is reading together a Christian non-fiction or fiction title. See the pastor for more information. The group meets Mondays at 8 PM in the Colonial room.
Youth Group
The New Hempstead Presbyterian Church has Christian Education opportunities for everyone. We have two lively adult education and discussion groups, Sunday morning classes for children and a teen youth group that meets Sunday evenings.
Generally meets Sunday evenings from 6-8 PM. Young people 12 or older (and their friends) are invited to come & share some fun and fellowship with others their own age. Please contact Howard Whitehouse or the church office for more details. The youth group runs the weekly food drive. The People to People food pantry gratefully accepts all the donations that we provide. We highlight particular items that they are short of each month as a way to keep the hungry in our thoughts and prayers.
